  1. Carol..you are an inspiration to all those who knew you. I have checked your blog a few times over the years, but obviously not enough to know the challenges you have been facing. You are quite a courageous person. Know that empathy is your pain in my heart and I am sending you heartfelt wishes for Godspeed. Your legacy is the blessings you are bestowing to others and you are to be commended. Let us not be weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Sincerely, Patty Vancheri

    Carol,
I just read Sept Fire House magazine . I saw your picture in the article.
I (WE) the Tennessee City Volunteer Fire Department would be HONORED if you have a patch ? insignia that we could hang a patch on our wall .
For a individual to take the time to help our brothers and sisters with out expecting anything in return , well Carol you are giving the true meaning of being a VOLUNTEER , We aren’t here for the $$$$ , we are here for the calling .
We pray you can get well enough to visit us soon .
If you don’t have a patch yet please make one so your foundation can include a patch with every future donation . Gear , hose etc. will wear out but a patch will last lifetimes .
    Thanks
    Joe Muraca

  6. Hi Carol..Happy New Year! Glad to see you are still enjoying yourself and having good experiences. Sorry to hear you are in more pain, but I am familar with VITAS as they helped my Mom and they were very caring and compassionate. Your stories are all very interesting and a reminder to all of us to slow down and don’t take each day for granted. I donated my 10″ ponytail this month to “Locks of Love”, so now my hair is short and highlighted! I smiled when I read that you had also donated your hair in the past. It is so cool to read about the “places you have gone, and the people you have met”! I also like those interesting tidbits about Shel and Peter Max and all the other cool people you surround yourself with. May God continue to bless you with great things each day you have! I would like to meet you for lunch some Saturday maybe? Let me know….Hugs…Patty Vancheri
