I am still in Moab, Utah. I’m hoping my package arrives by Tuesday so I can go to Cortez, Colorado and have my transmission repaired so I can continue on my journey. I’ve been getting a bit restless staying here for 7 days. It’s hot as it is in many places. Last night we had a storm with rain, and it rained this morning until about 10 a.m. It did cool the air a bit. I have read a few novels, and some other literature. I went to 3 meetings in the last week which has been nice and I’m meeting new people. There are some women in the campers around me and some of them are from Florida, Orlando and Apalachola. One of them gave me a few pieces of watermelon, and it was really good!!!
I also met a young couple 25 years of age who are here for 3 months traveling around the USA in a van. They graduated from college in Germany and thought before they find a job and start a family they would take this trip. They spent a month traveling between Panama, Costa Rica, and Nicargua. They have been to several National Parks in the US and head back to Germany in a few weeks. We exchanged travel stories and enjoyed some of the same places. They were at Crater Lake a few weeks ago and only saw a trace of snow. I told them how when I was there in early July half the park was closed due to all the snow that couldn’t be cleared.
Yesterday, I took a drive along a route to see what is called Rock Art. It’s petroglyphs that the Native Americans made centuries ago. Some of these were on the wall along a roadway throught the canyon. I’m not sure how the pictures came out but I will try and get them posted along with the rainbow pictures I took the other night.
For some unknown reason, I have had trouble accessing my webpage sometimes to update it. When I am posting my blogs and hit update, sometimes it would give me an error and say it couldn’t find the page again. If I went somewhere that had a different wi fi provider, sometimes I could get on, but if it errored again, I couldn’t. It has been frustrating and I asked some people I know who are computer savy and we couldn’t figure it out. I came to McDonalds in town today and I was able to access my page again. WordPress gave me a message that my Explorer version was not the newest, so I installed Internet Explorer version 9, and I’m hoping that resolves the problem I was having. I guess I need to now learn how to navigate this new explorer version since it looks very different from the previous version. Even though I wasn’t able to access my blogpage, I was able to get any other page I wanted.
