I’ve noticed when I am at a MacDonalds in the mornings, that no matter what city I am in that there is a group of retired men sitting around a table chatting and catching up on life and sharing stories.
In case you are wondering how I have been feeling, the last week has not been great. I have been in pain and sort of laid low staying in some campgrounds for several days at at time just resting and reading. Other days, it’s not bad and more tolerable. Every now and then I have a good day or several in a row. I am determined to complete this trip no matter what. Even if I hurt I still drive and just focus on scenery, pray, etc. I only walk about a half mile or so when there are trails. I don’t do the several mile hikes and walks like I used to do, but driving and seeing things is interesting too. I find myself getting tired more often and so I take naps even if it’s only a few hours after I wake up. I’ve been reading novels and that is relaxing. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
Well, it’s time to get on the road and explore the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center which is several miles away. I will try and find Internet again, it might be another week before I do.
